What great news! Yesterday was announced that Mendix has been acquired by Siemens. This major news follows the previously announced strategic partnerships with SAP and IBM. It marks the successful path Mendix has taken, to strengthen their current position as market leader in the field of Low Code and Smart Apps.
We see this as a positive step and share the enthusiasm of the Mendix founders! This is good for both our customers for us and the long term continuity of the platform, as Siemens is committing to large investments in the platform the coming years.
Mendix will become a part of the Siemens’ Digital Factory Division and continues to work on their mission with great autonomy, the same people, at the same office locations. As a result of the takeover, Mendix has even more resources at its disposure to further increase it’s innovative power. Siemens is a true industry giant and has been investing heavily in software development and their IoT platform MindSphere over the past couple of years.
